Coupe du monde U17 : le Mali en 8emes de finale, l’Égypte éliminée
The round of 32 of the U17 World Cup kicked off this Friday. While awaiting the Senegal/Uganda match, the first African clash between Mali and Zambia took place this afternoon. The match ended in a 3-1 victory for Mali.
After a very tight first half, the young Malians opened the scoring at the start of the second half through Ndjicoura Bomba (51st minute). At the hour mark, Zambia equalized thanks to Mapalo Simple (63rd minute). However, in the final five minutes, Mali managed to regain the lead with goals from Seydou Dembélé (85th minute) and Lamine Keïta (90+4).
Thanks to this great victory, Mali has qualified for the quarter-finals.
In other matches, Switzerland eliminated Egypt (3-1), France dominated Colombia (2-0) and Portugal knocked out Belgium (2-1).
