Cyclisme : six pays attendus pour la 6e édition du Tour du Fleuve

The city of Saint-Louis is preparing to vibrate to the rhythm of cycling with the sixth edition of the Tour du Fleuve, scheduled from May 6 to 10, announced the coordinator of the event, Amadou Niang.

During a press conference held on Friday, he specified that this edition will bring together several teams and riders from various backgrounds, notably from France, Germany, Belgium, Guinea-Bissau, Mauritania, and Mali. The official presentation of the teams is scheduled for May 5th.

Initiated by the Vélo Club, led by Abdoulaye Thiam, the competition will pay tribute to Senegalese international Ismaïla Sarr, African champion in 2025.

The Tour du Fleuve route will cover a total distance of 485 kilometers, divided into several stages across the region.

The regional director of Youth and Sports, Mariama Sène, welcomed this initiative, stressing the importance of increased support to ensure the success of the event.

The organizing committee therefore invites local authorities and partners to mobilize in order to make this competition a lever for promotion for the Saint-Louis region.
