Demi-finale Coupe du monde U20 : le Maroc utilise trois gardiens contre la France !
Morocco qualified for the final of the Under-20 World Cup by defeating France (1-1, 5-4 on penalties).
A match full of suspense and twists, during which the Atlas Lions called upon three goalkeepers in 120 minutes.
Starting goalkeeper Yanis Benchaouach started the match but was injured after the hour mark (62nd minute). He was replaced by Ibrahim Gomis, of Senegalese origin, who made a fine debut and made several decisive saves.
But with five seconds left in extra time, the Moroccan coach made a bold decision: bringing on a third goalkeeper, Mesbahi, especially for the penalty shootout.
A choice that paid off, as the latter saved a decisive penalty, thus giving Morocco a historic qualification for the final.
