Derby parisien : le PSG s’impose face à son « petit frère »
Nearly half a century after the last Parisian derby in Ligue 1, PSG faced their rivals, Paris FC. Despite a few scares, the reigning European champions upheld the hierarchy, defeating Paris FC 2-1 on Sunday evening. Luis Enrique's men thus remain within striking distance of RC Lens, who lead the table by one point.
In this highly anticipated match, Paris Saint-Germain opened the scoring thanks to Désiré Doué, just seconds before halftime (45th minute). Early in the second half, the teammates of Senegalese defender Moustapha Mbow managed to equalize with a penalty converted by Geubbels (51st minute).
Paris FC's joy was short-lived, however. Two minutes later, Ousmane Dembélé restored the reigning European champions' lead. The French international accelerated down the right wing, cut inside past Thibault De Smet, and then unleashed a curling left-footed shot. The ball from the 2025 Best Player, deflected by the leg of Senegalese international Moustapha Mbow, wrong-footed Kevin Trapp. Thanks to Dembélé's decisive goal, PSG won the Paris derby against Paris FC (2-1).
