Équipe nationale du Sénégal : Ibrahim Mbaye, nouvelle recrue de Pape Thiaw ?
Pape Thiaw will announce his squad this Thursday for the Senegal-Brazil friendly on November 15th. According to RMC, PSG's young winger, Ibrahim Mbaye, has agreed to join the Lions of Teranga, who have already qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 World Cup. At just 17 years old, Ibrahim Mbaye, a French youth international, is expected to make his debut for his father's country.
Seduced by the project of the Senegalese Football Federation, the young Parisian player reportedly made his decision independently. Deeply attached to his roots, he sees the national team, managed by Pape Thiaw, as a favorable environment for his development.
Trained at PSG and elected Titi d'Or 2024, the young striker already has 25 appearances with the Parisian club and holds the record for the youngest player in PSG history to have played an official match.
This arrival is part of Senegal's strategy to attract young, dual-nationality talents. After Yéhvann Diouf, another player could also join the national team: defender Mamadou Sarr.
However, the growing attractiveness of Senegal, which now has nothing to envy from the great football nations, weighs heavily in the decisions of these young talents to respond favorably to the requests of their country of origin.

Malick Thiaw a deja joué 3 matchs avec l'Equipe Nationale d'Allemagne et de ce fait, il ne peut pas jouer avec le Senegal avant octobre 2026. Il faudrait en plus qu'on évite d'avoir une équipe 100% binationaux. A ce rytme c'est ce vers quoi on se dirige. Or il y a plus de mérite à former au Bled qu'à aller tout choisir a l'etranger.
Si Vaz ne figure pas sur la liste demain, cela veut tout simplement dire que les français sont derrière cette décision et que ce dernier préfère dores et déjà entreprendre une carrière internationale avec les bleus.
Je conseille à Pape Thiaw de faire appel a Mamadou Diakhon du FC Bruges où Ousmane Sow de la Pologne pour combler ce vide. L’erreur que Pape Thiaw a fait avec Vaz, il fallait faire appel a lui lors du dernier rassemblement, parce que le petit etait prêt à venir en sélection, il avait même jubiler en voyant son nom apparaître dans une fausse liste.
