The Burkina Faso Football Federation (FBF) announced on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, the end of its collaboration with the Stallions' coach, Brama Traoré, and his entire technical staff. This decision comes after an evaluation of Burkina Faso's participation in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

In a statement, the Burkinabe Football Federation (FBF) deemed the results far below its objectives, which had called for at least qualification for the semi-finals. The poor performance during the competition led to the termination of the contracts of the head coach and his assistants.

The Federation indicates that a new recruitment process will be initiated as soon as possible in order to put in place a new technical management team for the national team.
