Following his defeat in the election for the presidency of the Senegalese Professional Football League (LSFP) on July 29, Abdoulaye Saydou Sow, former minister and historic figure in Senegalese football, could make a strategic return to the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) as Secretary General.
According to L'Observateur, "his name keeps coming up behind the scenes at the federation."
With his experience as a former vice-president of the FSF and his knowledge of the organization, Sow is presented as a major asset to ensure institutional continuity and coordinate the activities of the federation.
Since the election of Abdoulaye Fall as president of the FSF, the same source notes that Sow accompanies the new president on his travels and already plays the role of unofficial right-hand man.
Observers and consultants, quoted by the daily newspaper of the Future Media Group, consider his return as a useful repositioning, allowing him to capitalize on his expertise while guaranteeing stability and continuity in Senegalese football.
