Ligue 1 Sénégal : très active sur le marché des transferts, la Linguère de Saint-Louis affiche ses ambitions
With one week to go until the start of the season, Linguère de Saint-Louis is actively pursuing its preparation phase. Despite the departure of coach Amara Traoré, the Saint-Louis club has high ambitions for the 2025-2026 season.
Despite the departures of several key players, including captain Mamadou Diop (who left for AS Pikine), the flagship club of the three-hundred-year-old city has been very active on the transfer market, with the arrival of six new players.
In defense, the "Samba Linguère" have registered the reinforcements of Mahfouz Séne (from Diambars), Souleymane Sarr (Thiès FC) and Bakary Sakho, younger brother of the former international Diafra Sakho, who played in Oslo.
In midfield, Linguère has recruited Macoura from Avenir de Dakar. In attack, the club has added Ibrahima Diop (Teungueth FC) and Mohamed Mbaye (Wallydaan).
With these new recruits, the northern club, now coached by Abdoulaye Sy, is clearly displaying its ambitions for this new season.
