Lutte : Canal+ s’invite dans l’arène et diffuse le choc Modou Lô–Sa Thiès dans 48 pays
The pay-TV channel Canal+ has officially entered the arena. The signing of a partnership agreement with promoter Baye Ndiaye now guarantees the live broadcast of the highly anticipated clash between Modou Lô and Sa Thiès, scheduled for April 5th. Thanks to this agreement, reports Record, the fight will be broadcast exclusively on Canal+ Sport 1, allowing subscribers across 48 African countries to follow the event.
A duplex between Dakar and Paris
The signing ceremony was marked by a technological setup linking Dakar and Paris. Sa Thiès, accompanied by his brother Balla Gaye 2, attended the event at Canal+ headquarters in Dakar, while Modou Lô, currently training in France, participated via video link from the Canal+ studios in Paris.
The two wrestlers took the opportunity to launch the first barbs as part of the promotion for this highly anticipated fight for the crown of king of the arenas.
To mark this alliance, Canal+ organized a lavish ceremony bringing together leading figures in the sport. Renowned voices such as Bécaye Mbaye, Lamine Samba, and Ngagne Diagne were present, alongside influencers like Aba No Stress and Niang Kharagne Lô. The president of the Senegalese Wrestling Federation (FSL), Bira Sène, also attended the ceremony to celebrate this media milestone.
