Manchester United : Kobbie Mainoo prolonge jusqu’en 2031
It was expected, and now it's official. Kobbie Mainoo has extended his stay with Manchester United. The English midfielder, initially under contract until June 2027, signed a new deal on Thursday that ties him to the Red Devils until 2031.
This contract extension puts an end to the uncertainty surrounding his future, after a departure was rumored for this summer. At 21, Mainoo has therefore chosen to commit his long-term future to the Manchester club, confirming the faith placed in him.
The young England international's season has not been without its ups and downs. Initially used sparingly by Ruben Amorim, his situation improved after Michael Carrick took over as manager. Since then, Mainoo has established himself as an undisputed starter at the heart of Manchester United's midfield.
With 26 appearances in all competitions this season, he is gradually establishing himself as one of the key elements of the Manchester United squad for years to come.
