Participation d’Ismaïla Sarr à la CAN : le coach de Palace, Glasner relance la polémique
A few hours after Ismaïla Sarr's injury during the Crystal Palace-Manchester United clash, Oliver Glasner announced news that is likely to fuel concerns about the Senegalese international.
Having injured his ankle after a heavy tackle from Diogo Dalot during the Eagles' 2-1 defeat, Sarr had to leave the pitch in the 38th minute. The Senegalese winger, visibly hampered, was replaced by Eddie Nketiah.
In a press conference, Glasner made no secret of his pessimism regarding the player's swift return. According to him, the significant swelling in Sarr's ankle requires further examination, but the initial signs are not encouraging. "Perhaps we won't see him again before the Africa Cup of Nations," the Austrian coach admitted.
This injury now seriously jeopardizes Ismaïla Sarr's participation in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal. A potential major blow for the Lions of Teranga, just weeks before the start of the competition.
