Real Madrid : Kylian Mbappé hué par le public du Bernabéu
The evening was particularly difficult for Kylian Mbappé during Real Madrid's penultimate match of the season at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. The French striker, despite being the current top scorer in La Liga (24 goals), was heavily booed by a section of the Madrid supporters.
Having missed the Real Madrid squad since the 1-1 draw against Real Betis due to injury, the French national team captain had resumed training this week. Coach Alvaro Arbeloa has therefore included him in the squad for Thursday night's La Liga match against Real Oviedo (2-0), for the 36th round of fixtures.
Mbappé, who came on in the 69th minute, was greeted by a chorus of boos from the Bernabéu stands. For several weeks, some Real Madrid fans have blamed him for the team's struggles this season.
A difficult end to the season then for the Madrid striker, whose performances nevertheless continue to fuel debate in Spain.
