Transfert : Bouna Sarr relance FC Metz
It's now official. Bouna Sarr has signed his big return to FC Metz. A free agent since the end of his time with Bayern Munich in June 2024, the Senegalese international right-back signed with his boyhood club on Monday until the end of the 2025-2026 season.
At 34, the 2021 African champion has made a heartfelt choice and a fresh start by returning to the club where it all began. Trained at Metz, Bouna Sarr revealed his potential in Ligue 1 before continuing his career at Olympique de Marseille and then in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich, with whom he notably experienced the Champions League.
After several seasons marked by limited playing time in Germany, the Senegalese international hopes to regain rhythm, confidence and above all enjoyment on the pitches of Ligue 1. His versatility, his experience at the highest level and his leadership will be valuable assets for FC Metz, who are counting on their former protégé to strengthen their right flank.
