Turquie : Le président Recep Tayyip Erdogan impliqué dans le transfert de N'Golo Kanté à Fenerbahçe
While the transfer of N'Golo Kanté to Fenerbahçe was at a standstill at the close of the transfer window in Saudi Arabia, the situation was unlocked during a meeting in Riyadh between the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman.
As we reported on Wednesday, N'Golo Kanté's transfer to Fenerbahçe has been officially completed. The French international midfielder (65 caps, 2 goals) has signed with the Turkish club until 2028. The deal had stalled when the winter transfer window closed in Saudi Arabia on Monday evening.
The resolution of this matter is reportedly directly linked to the meeting held this Tuesday in Riyadh between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which focused primarily on political and economic issues. In a statement released this Wednesday, the president of Fenerbahçe thanked the president for his support in the transfer.
N'Golo Kanté is expected at Istanbul airport this Wednesday evening, around 9:30 PM. And as always with Turkish clubs, the atmosphere to welcome the 2018 World Cup winner promises to be electric.
