December 22, 2025 – Following the opening ceremony of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, TECNO expanded its presence around the tournament in the heart of Moroccan public spaces through a series of TECNO AI pop-up stores and fan zones set up in Rabat and Casablanca. Designed to bring the innovation driven by artificial intelligence closer to consumers, these spaces allowed visitors to discover firsthand how TECNO AI enhances the everyday use of smartphones, from photography and gaming to productivity and entertainment. In total, the brand activated four experiential spaces, two pop-up stores, and two fan zones, with a mirrored setup in both cities, ensuring a parallel rollout in the Kingdom's main urban centers.

The opening ceremony marked the launch of TECNO's "Power Your Moment" campaign for the Africa Cup of Nations, welcoming customers, guests, and partners as the tournament officially began. That same day, the brand opened its physical spaces to the general public, transforming a symbolic brand moment into a tangible interaction with consumers.

This approach allowed TECNO to stay connected with fans throughout the various phases of the competition, offering repeated opportunities to experience TECNO's AI capabilities in real-world situations, rather than limiting the experience to a single event. Special performances, blending live juggling demonstrations with African songs and dances, were presented on December 21 and are scheduled to return on January 18, creating a vibrant atmosphere that combines technology, culture, and entertainment.

TECNO AI pop-up stores: an immersive experience designed for fans

Deployed in Casablanca and Rabat, near the Mohammed V Stadium and the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, the TECNO AI pop-up stores were designed as immersive, consumer-centric environments, the antithesis of a traditional retail space. Open for a limited time during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, these locations combine product discovery with interactive AI demonstrations, allowing visitors to directly test TECNO AI functionalities through various touchpoints.

Upon arrival, visitors were welcomed into a reception area offering gifts and guided tours, while simple interactive challenges encouraged participation and sharing on social media. By linking physical interaction and digital engagement, the pop-up stores translated advanced AI technologies into tangible benefits that were immediately understandable and accessible to the public.

At the heart of each pop-up store, the AI Experience Area brought TECNO AI to life through practical, everyday uses, showcased on large screens and interactive stations. Visitors could test TECNO AI's features in real-world conditions, discovering how AI enhances key moments such as taking photos, creating content, and boosting daily productivity. By placing the consumer at the center of the experience, the activation positioned TECNO AI not as an abstract technology, but as an intuitive, accessible tool designed to make smartphone use smarter, simpler, and more creative.

A fashion-inspired installation offered a kit swap, with jerseys representing the 24 national teams participating in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, giving fans a creative way to express their support while engaging in a fun experience. Nearby, the "Champions Road" installation invited visitors to interact with a match-up board using magnetic markers, encouraging predictions and photo sharing, thus extending the experience beyond the physical space.

The product experience area offered a direct hands-on experience of TECNO's latest range of smartphones and connected devices, with support from brand representatives present on site.

A personalization area allowed visitors to customize their phones with tournament-themed back stickers, creating tangible souvenirs of the AFCON experience. Photo booths throughout the pop-up stores offered the chance to capture moments in front of branded backdrops, while a CSR Culture Wall highlighted TECNO's community initiatives and its long-term commitment to youth development and grassroots football across Africa.

TECNO fan zones: bringing supporters together beyond the stadium

In addition to the TECNO AI pop-up stores, TECNO fan zones were set up in Casablanca and Rabat, located at Anfa Park and OLM Souissi respectively, as open and accessible community spaces on match days. Freely accessible to the public, with no obligation to buy or register, these fan zones welcomed both football supporters and passersby, emphasizing a shared experience rather than transactions. The spaces offered product discovery areas, free photo-taking and printing services, and interactive challenges designed to encourage participation.

Football challenges, including juggling demonstrations and heading drills, enlivened both the pop-up stores and the fan zones, creating moments of spontaneous interaction and collective engagement.

The gift mechanics were linked to simple actions on social networks, while "classification" type photo activities encouraged visitors to capture and share moments online without competitive pressure, prioritizing community participation and visibility.

By operating simultaneously in Rabat and Casablanca and maintaining a continuous presence throughout match days, with special programming on key dates, TECNO established a lasting physical footprint throughout the Africa Cup of Nations. Rather than limiting its engagement to the opening ceremony alone, the brand positioned its pop-up stores and fan zones as permanent touchpoints, keeping pace with the tournament and integrating technology, football, and urban culture into the daily lives of the public during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
