Hiking: CMS engages its employees and members in a sporty and connected day

Randonnée pédestre: Le CMS engage ses collaborateurs et sociétaires dans une journée sportive et connectée

In a friendly and sporting atmosphere, the Crédit Mutuel du Sénégal (CMS) employees' association organized a large-scale hike across the entire country this Sunday. In Dakar, the local team mobilized, while similar activities took place simultaneously in all regional capitals.

Amadou Jean-Jacques Diop, Director General of CMS, emphasizes the importance of this initiative.

"This hike is not just a sporting event. It is a tool for cohesion, a moment of fraternity and exchange. It helps to strengthen the bonds between employees, their families and all of our members."

The approximately eight-kilometer route allowed participants to combine physical activity and conviviality while conveying a strong message: that of balance between professional life and personal well-being.

Partner hiking clubs also contributed to the success of the event, demonstrating the CMS's integration into community life.

A mutual institution serving the people

Crédit Mutuel du Sénégal goes far beyond the role of a simple bank. Since its creation, this mutual institution has placed community and the autonomy of its people at the heart of its mission. Thanks to its foundation, endowed with a substantial annual budget, CMS supports initiatives in the fields of education, health, and culture, and assists families during major religious and social events.

The hike was also an opportunity for Mr. Diop to highlight the major advances of the CMS in the digital field.

"With CMS Mobile, our members can now carry out almost all the operations available in branch directly from their phone: take out a loan, make withdrawals, deposits or any classic interaction with the bank.

This digitalization is part of a progressive modernization strategy, offering customers and members a choice between physical contact and digital services with the latest technologies.

"We want every member to be able to carry out their transactions from their phone or choose to visit an agency for direct contact. And this is just the beginning."

Between sport, social cohesion and digital innovation, Crédit Mutuel du Sénégal thus confirms its desire to combine performance, proximity and community commitment while supporting its customers in their daily lives and in strengthening their financial autonomy.
