She is the biological daughter of Aka Amoin Thérèse, first cousin of Houphouët.

In its note, the PDCI-RDA said it was "surprised" to see Mr. Serey Doh, a member of a government claiming to be "Houphouetist", making "filthy" remarks against the biological family of President Félix Houphouët-Boigny. Because in reality, his biological niece, Mrs. Marietou Sow, is the mother of Tidjane Thiam, current president of the PDCI-RDA, and the biological daughter of Aka Amoin Thérèse, first cousin of the first Ivorian president.
