The Women's Association of the Presidency of the Republic was "received and listened to" for the first time in its history by the First Lady. A powerful act by Marie Khone Faye, the first wife of Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

Created in 2017, under the regime of outgoing President Macky Sall, the Amicale has never been received by the latter's wife, Marième Faye Sall, notes Source A, which relays the information in its edition of this Friday, March 28.

The newspaper reports that its members took the opportunity "to express their desire to benefit from the First Lady's support in implementing their initiatives." Beyond "uniting women employed at the Presidency," the Association aims "to contribute, among other things, to strengthening transformational female leadership," the source adds.
