As part of the fight against the trafficking of counterfeit medicines, the National Brigade for the Fight against Piracy and Counterfeiting (BNLPC) of the National Police, in collaboration with the Senegalese Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (ARP), carried out an operation at the Grand Yoff market.

Following this extensive sweep, police arrested three individuals and seized a large batch of counterfeit medications distributed in fourteen bags, Seneweb learned. The suspects were taken into custody pending investigation.

The National Police intends to continue the search and therefore invites the population to contact 17 for any useful information in this direction, informs Commissioner Mamadou Diouf, head of the communications division.
