The union world is in turmoil. The unions gathered within the G7 in Kaolack denounce the non-payment of the 2024 baccalaureate supervision allowances. "While teachers have carried out their missions with professionalism and dedication, they find themselves once again faced with inexplicable delays and a clear disregard for their rights. We remind the regional authorities that these allowances are not a favor, but a right that must be respected. Far from being an isolated incident, this delay is part of a series of recurring failures, in particular the late payment of family allowances, which cause many inconveniences for teachers," the G7 rages.
He is therefore demanding the immediate and unconditional payment of the 2024 Baccalaureate supervision allowances and a clear and respected timetable for the payment of family allowances in order to guarantee teachers a minimum of stability.
In addition, the G7/Kaolack is demanding a definitive end to these unjustified delays, which only serve to exacerbate social tensions and undermine teachers' trust in the authorities. "We warn the authorities against the consequences of silence or inertia in the face of these legitimate demands. If urgent measures are not taken, the G7 unions will not hesitate to toughen up the union struggle in the coming weeks. We remain mobilized and determined to defend the interests of teachers and the Senegalese education system," the unionists threaten.
