The general manager of the Sitma transit company, Badou Ndiaye, who has been in custody since September 2024, has been granted provisional release.
The accused was arrested by Customs Investigations, which demanded the sum of 8 billion CFA francs from him. However, after serious disputes during his hearing and a reassessment of the damages as part of an adversarial procedure, a settlement was reached between the parties. Badou Ndiaye reached an agreement with Customs for a payment of 2 billion, reports Libération.
