Gare ferroviaire de Thiès : Les pèlerins dénoncent une spéculation sur les tickets pour Touba
Anguish and indignation punctuate the atmosphere at the Thiès railway station where pilgrims who had to reach Touba for the needs of the Grand Magal have become extremely angry.
Mouhammed Fallou Ndiaye, a Serigne Touba talibé, Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Mbacké, a notable in Thiès, and other disappointed Mouride disciples speak of "an abnormal shortage of tickets at the station." They accuse "certain agents of the Grands Trains du Sénégal of having bought tickets en masse for speculative purposes."
They find the slogan of the Senegalese National Railway Company "Dém Magali ak Saxaar-gi" "meaningless".
