Qualifications Coupe du monde : le Cap-Vert, l’Égypte et l’Afrique du Sud font un pas important vers le Mondial

Cape Verde have achieved a major milestone in their race to qualify for the World Cup. The Blue Sharks, who finished top of Group D, won the group final by beating Cameroon 1-0 thanks to a goal from Dailon Liveramento in the 54th minute. With this crucial victory, Cape Verde now have a four-point lead over their opponents with two matches remaining.

In Group A, Mohamed Salah's Egypt earned a valuable point in Burkina Faso (0-0). This result brings the Pharaohs a step closer to the World Cup. Indeed, with two matches remaining, Egypt (20 points) has a five-point lead over the Burkinabe Stallions (2nd, 15 points).

In Group C, South Africa had the opportunity to secure their World Cup berth with a win over Nigeria. However, the group stage "final" ended in a 1-1 draw. Despite this home result, Bafana Bafana (1st, 17 points) maintain a six-point lead over Nigeria (2nd, 11 points), with two matches remaining in qualifying.
