Burkina Faso: Abdoulaye Diop, President of the UEMOA Commission, welcomes the country's economic performance

Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo received the President of the UEMOA Commission, Abdoulaye Diop, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. He congratulated Burkina Faso for its efforts in mobilizing resources and transposing community texts, thus contributing to the resilience of the Union despite a difficult global economic context.

He also stressed the importance of security for development and welcomed the commitment of the Burkinabe authorities in this area. Two major UEMOA initiatives were presented: Vision 2040, which aims for a prosperous community space, and the Impact Plan 2030, intended to strengthen value chains and employment.

Abdoulaye Diop concluded by highlighting the convergence of strategies between UEMOA and Burkina Faso, reaffirming the commitment to work together for sustainable economic development.
