Affaire Feugueuleu : ce que lutteur a dit aux enquêteurs
Feugueuleu is in hot water. The wrestler was arrested as part of the investigation into the theft of five Dutch cattle found at his home. Les Échos reports that, when questioned by investigators, he maintained his denials: "I was simply offered the cattle for sale. I had no idea, however, that the animals were stolen."
If he was so sure of his facts, why did he ignore the police summons? "After the police found the cattle at my place and returned them in my absence, I preferred to leave it at that," he explained, according to the newspaper. "I didn't want my name dragged through the mud, especially not dragged into this cattle theft case. This, given my status as a wrestler."
Les Échos reports that this version of events is refuted by the testimony of a source who revealed that photos of the stolen cattle were found on Feugueuleu's phone, where he was offering them to potential buyers. The newspaper reports that some of these buyers alerted the police.
The same source believes that Feugueuleu will be prosecuted, if not for conspiracy and theft, then at least for receiving stolen goods. "Especially since," it reports, "the amount paid by the accused to buy the cattle in question was significantly below the market price."
