Affaire Moussa Seck : Une bonne nouvelle pour le comédien

Actor Moussa Seck appeared before the Criminal Court of the Financial Judicial Pool (PJF) on Thursday, July 17, 2025. However, his trial was postponed until the August 7 hearing at the request of his lawyers, Abdou Kane and Ndofane Diouf. The defendant's lawyers informed the court that their client has raised the entire sum of 8,840,000 CFA francs claimed from him. For this reason, they requested a one-week postponement to allow their client to deposit this sum with the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC).

The presiding judge sought the opinion of the public prosecutor, who indicated that he had no comments to make on the matter. The State Judicial Agent (AJE), for his part, deferred to the court's discretion. Under these conditions, the judge authorized Moussa Seck to guarantee the amount to the CDC. The magistrate then adjourned the trial to the hearing of August 7, 2025, for the production of the payment receipt.

In this case, Moussa Seck is being prosecuted for fraud involving public funds and forgery of private documents. He has been in custody since March 19, 2025. Another defendant, Cheikh Ibrahima Kébé, who has been under judicial supervision since January 8, 2025, is also being prosecuted, notably for bribery. However, he did not appear at the hearing. The civil parties in this case are: Mamadou Diallo, Papa Gora Diongue, Séga Diagne, Farma Diankha, Kounta Mbaye, Djibril Ngom, Aly Sy Diop, and Mbaye Diack.

Moussa Seck was arrested following an investigation by the French National Office for the Fight against Fraud and Corruption (OFNAC) into a vast fraud network linked to the government-employer agreement implemented during the Covid-19 crisis. The OFNAC report revealed the existence of a fraudulent system that allowed several individuals to improperly benefit from financial aid intended for struggling businesses. The fraudsters falsified files by adding fictitious employees in order to illicitly receive government subsidies.
