El Malick Ndiaye porte plainte contre deux journalistes dans l'affaire des véhicules de l'Assemblée
The case related to the National Assembly's vehicle procurement is taking a legal turn. According to information from Libération, the president of the institution, El Malick Ndiaye, has filed a complaint against journalists Bachir Fofana and Adama Gaye. The complaint, filed by Mr. Bamba Cissé on behalf of the second-highest-ranking official in the state, targets alleged acts of dissemination of false news and defamation, the same source believes. Regarding Bachir Fofana, the newspaper adds, the lawyer criticizes him for recent statements questioning a public vehicle contract, which he claims was awarded to Cheikh Guèye—the main accuser in the so-called Pikine-Guédiawaye Court case involving former Justice Minister Ismaïla Madior Fall. As for Adama Gaye, he is being prosecuted for a publication deemed defamatory, posted on his Facebook page, Libération concludes.
