20 arrestations à Bountou Pikine:Un réseau d'agresseurs et de trafiquants démantelé par la BR de Keur Massar
A large-scale security operation led by the Keur Massar Research Brigade resulted in the arrest of twenty suspects in Bountou Pikine on Friday, August 29, 2025. This coordinated intervention aimed to put an end to the recurring attacks that were traumatizing local populations.
Attacks that terrorized the population
The operation follows numerous reports of repeated attacks on the RN01 near Bountou Pikine. These criminal acts had created a climate of psychosis among the local population, forcing the Dakar Gendarmerie Legion, under the command of Colonel Malick Faye, to initiate a special plan to combat these crimes, according to Seneweb sources.
A meticulously prepared infiltration operation
To combat this security scourge, the Keur Massar Research Brigade mounted an infiltration and arrest operation at the targeted location. Information gathered from a source who wished to remain anonymous helped identify the location where the perpetrators of these attacks were hiding.
Coordinated intervention in the criminals' lair
Supported by the Dakar Research Brigade and a GIGN cell, the unit's gendarmes professionally raided the field known as "Aly Mango," located near the Bountou Pikine crossroads. This nighttime operation led to the arrest of twenty offenders in shacks that served as dormitories and places where they prepared their crimes.
Seizures reveal the extent of the network
The search of the premises revealed the arsenal and illicit products used by the network:
- Three machetes
- Three cones of Indian hemp
- A carton of cellulose thinner (Guinz)
- Several pouches containing probably stolen cell phones
Heavy charges retained
In the face of these serious and consistent clues, the twenty suspects were taken under heavy escort to the unit for the purposes of the investigation. They were placed in police custody on several charges:
- Criminal association
- Assaults
- Vagrancy
- Possession, use and trafficking of Indian hemp
- Possession, sale and use of cellulose diluent
- Possession of a 5th category weapon without administrative authorization
A hard blow for local insecurity
This operation represents a significant blow to the insecurity that has plagued this strategic sector. The dismantling of this organized network should restore peace to the populations living along the RN01 and discourage other criminal groups tempted to establish themselves in the area.
The effectiveness of this intervention demonstrates the determination of the gendarmes of the Keur Massar company to combat all sources of insecurity and their ability to carry out large-scale coordinated operations to protect citizens.

L'Eta a laissé faire. Cette endroit de Bountou Pikine -Park Lambaye aurait été utilisée en son temps pour l'implantation d'une brigade gendarmerie. C'est un carrefour stratégique.
