The State Built Heritage Management and Exploitation Company (SOGEPA) is going on the offensive to recover its real estate assets. The occupants of the official housing located in Cité Faycal, Point E, Fann and Mermoz have until August 2025 to vacate the premises, according to RFM. The general director of SOGEPA, Elimane Pouye, confirmed this operation on the radio, stating that the State intends to take back possession of these properties.
Elimane Pouye details the strategy: "We initiate the procedure according to the nature of the titles. For some, these are administrative attributions that must be withdrawn by deliberation; for others, rental contracts to be terminated." He deplores the fact that almost all the occupants have modified these dwellings without the authorization of SOGEPA, violating the terms of the contracts signed with the State. "None have the right to undertake work without our agreement, but the observation is clear: they did it," he regrets.
The tone is firm. "Whether in Point E, Fann, Mermoz or Faycal, those who occupy these houses without authorization will have to leave," insists Pouye. He promises a benevolent and concerted approach, but remains inflexible: "The State needs these homes to redeploy its civil servants." This operation aims to put an end to years of irregular occupation and to reallocate these properties to the public service.
