Décès d’Alassane Cissé : L’hommage du ministère de la Santé au journaliste et ancien président de l’Ajspd
The Ministry of Health and Social Action (MSAS) paid a glowing tribute to the former president of the Association of Journalists Specializing in Health, Population and Development (AJSPD) for his commitment to information "on public health and human development."
"The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs (MSAS) learned with deep sadness of the passing of Mr. Alassane Cissé, a journalist at RTS and former president of the Association of Journalists in Health, Population and Development (AJSPD). The MSAS bows before the memory of a man of conviction, passionate about public health issues and committed to reliable, accessible information that served the population. At the head of the AJSPD, he was able to bring people together and strengthen collaboration between journalists and health professionals, and rigorously defend causes related to human development," the ministry's communications unit published on Facebook.
Before announcing: "In this painful circumstance, the Ministry sends its deepest condolences to his family, his loved ones, his colleagues at RTS and AJSPD, as well as to the entire world of the press and health. May the Almighty surround him with His mercy and welcome him into His eternal Paradise."
Alassane Cissé died early in the evening of August 13 in Dakar after a long illness. He was buried yesterday in Thiès.
