Grand Magal : Deux habitants de Pout arrêtés par la police avec 2 kg de chanvre indien à Ndamatou

Police are maintaining pressure on drug traffickers during the Grand Magal of Touba. After arresting three pilgrims in possession of more than 1.5 kg of Indian hemp, officers from the Ndamatou district police station carried out a new raid this Thursday, according to Seneweb sources.

Two dealers from Pout arrested

Police officers from the search brigade intercepted a motorcycle carrying two individuals in possession of 2 kg of Indian hemp and a pair of scissors. The suspects were identified as Mr. Cissé, who claimed to be a carpenter and formworker, and B. Diallo, who presented himself as a motorcycle mechanic, both residing in Pout.

The operation took place during a routine check, where law enforcement officers discovered a plastic bag containing this carefully packaged stock of narcotics.

A well-organized distribution arsenal

The extensive search revealed the scale of the trafficking operation. The suspects were transporting:

- Five peddlers each containing 100 cones of Indian hemp

- Four additional cones already packaged

- 350 grams of loose Indian hemp

- A pair of scissors probably used for packaging

In total, Ndamatou BR agents seized 2 kilograms of drugs.

A series of arrests during the Magal

This arrest is part of a series of operations conducted by the Ndamatou research brigade during the Grand Magal period. The police officers have demonstrated their effectiveness with the seizure of more than five kilograms of Indian hemp in recent days.
