Rufisque : Plus de 4 kg de chanvre indien saisis, un livreur arrêté par la police
JABadji, 25, was arrested with four kilograms of Indian hemp during a nighttime surveillance operation. Two accomplices are being sought.
Acting on information reporting a drug landing on the coast, the central police station in Rufisque organized stakeouts on the beaches of Bata, Diockoul and Avisen during the night of August 19-20.
Around 4:30 a.m., police spotted JABadji, a 25-year-old delivery driver, riding a motorcycle near the Diockoul cemetery with a suspicious bag. A search revealed four blocks of Indian hemp, each weighing one kilogram.
The suspect stated that he had collected the drugs from C. Diop and delivered them to Gorgui Sall in Keur Ndiaye Lô. Raids on the homes of the two suspects proved unsuccessful.
JABadji was taken into custody for possession and trafficking of narcotics. The search for his alleged accomplices continues.
