A gruesome discovery rocked the Guet Ndar neighborhood of Saint-Louis this Saturday morning. A lifeless body was pulled from the small arm of the river, causing shock among local residents.

It was around noon that residents spotted a body floating among the canoes moored in this area, which is usually bustling with fishing activity. Firefighters were alerted and quickly intervened to pull the body from the water.

According to initial findings, the body was in a very advanced state of decomposition, making immediate identification impossible. However, the evidence suggests that it may be that of an elderly person.

The police, informed of the tragedy, went to the scene to carry out the usual reports and opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of this death and, if possible, the identity of the victim.
