This Saturday, March 1st, the residents of Rue Sans Soleil in Thiès came very close to a tragedy. Indeed, a man locked himself in his bathroom before dousing himself in gasoline to set himself on fire.

According to information from Dakaractu, the man received a divorce request from his wife. Around 5 p.m. this Saturday, he locked himself in his bathroom, doused himself with gasoline and tried to set himself on fire.

Firefighters quickly intervened to save the victim before rushing him to hospital for first aid. An investigation has been opened.
