Ligue 1 sénégalaise : L’AS Pikine réorganise sa direction et son staff technique avant la saison 2025-2026
With just over a month to go until the start of the 2025-2026 season, AS Pikine has made significant changes to its management and coaching staff. The club from the Dakar suburbs formalized these decisions in a press release published on Sunday, August 17, following a meeting chaired by the Chairman of the Executive Committee (COMEX), Modou Fall.
Among the resolutions adopted, the Executive Committee confirmed that Modou Fall, the club's current first vice-president, will act as interim president for Mamadou Guèye, who has been absent from the country for seven months.
On the sporting front, the meeting also confirmed the separation from coach Lamine Diagne, a decision mutually agreed upon by both parties, the statement said. To succeed him, the club chose Massamba Cissé, who was officially appointed head coach of the team for the next two seasons. He will be assisted by Idy Sy, who has been appointed assistant coach.
With this reorganization, AS Pikine intends to start the new season on a new basis, with the aim of regaining its former glory and placing itself higher in the elite of Senegalese football.
