Pape Toby Gaye, DG de Senelec à Médina Baye Niasse : « Toutes les dispositions sont prises pour un bon déroulement du Gamou »
As part of preparations for Gamou 2025, scheduled for Thursday, September 4, Senelec Director General Pape Toby Gaye paid a courtesy visit to the religious centers of Médina Baye Niasse and Léona Niassène, in Kaolack, on Sunday, August 31, 2025, after visiting Tivaouane, Ndiassane, and Thiénaba. The objective was to ensure the arrangements made by Senelec to guarantee a stable power supply during this major religious event.
On site, Pape Toby Gaye reassured the Caliph of Medina Baye, Sheikh Mouhamadoul Mahi Ibrahima Niass, by declaring: "All arrangements will be made for the smooth running of Maouloud Nabi." He detailed Senelec's efforts, particularly in terms of network expansion, installation of mobile stations and strengthening of electrical infrastructure, in order to ensure smooth and uninterrupted distribution during Gamou.
