BFEM 2026: Compliance with recommendations praised by authorities

BFEM 2026 : le respect des recommandations saluées par les autorités

The 2026 session of the Brevet de Fin d'Études Moyennes (BFEM) in the Ziguinchor department was distinguished by its rigorous organization and strict adherence to instructions. Administrative and educational authorities unanimously praised the candidates' discipline, the proctors' vigilance, and the security measures in place at the examination centers.

At the end of a tour of three centers encompassing four examination boards, the Inspector of Education and Training for Ziguinchor, Ibrahima Khalil Sakho, highlighted remarkable attendance rates, ranging from 96.19% to 98.21%, reflecting student engagement and thorough preparation for the exams. Out of a total of 4,915 candidates spread across 33 centers and overseen by 37 examination boards, the Inspectorate of Education and Training mobilized a significant number of personnel: 99 secretaries, 518 invigilators, and 366 examiners.

Security at the centers was ensured by the defense and security forces, who were present at all the sites visited. The IEF also emphasized the strict management of mobile phones and luggage, reminding invigilators of the prohibition against handling mobile phones during the exams, a rule that was respected in all centers.

An important aspect of this session concerns the inclusion of candidates with disabilities. Two cases were recorded, one of which was handled by a special committee at the CMT center. The other candidate took the exam under the same conditions as their peers, illustrating the commitment to ensuring equal opportunities.

Modou Samb, Deputy Prefect of Ziguinchor, confirmed the smooth running of the exams during his visit. He congratulated the Inspector, the teaching staff, and all stakeholders for the arrangements made and their rigorous implementation, highlighting the effective presence of administrative staff and security forces. This 2026 BFEM session thus appears as a model of organization and discipline, where transparency and inclusion are central concerns, reinforcing the credibility of the expected results.
