Ziguinchor – Bac général 2026 : 18,08 % de réussite au premier tour
The provisional results of the first round of the 2026 general baccalaureate in the Ziguinchor academy reveal a success rate of only 18.08% out of the 11,076 candidates who actually sat for the exam.
Following the corrections, 2,002 candidates were declared automatically admitted, of whom 355 obtained a distinction: 5 Very Good distinctions, 36 Good distinctions and 314 Fairly Good distinctions, reflecting the performance of a minority of students who were able to distinguish themselves in a demanding context.
Furthermore, 3,432 candidates are authorized to take the second group of exams, a crucial step that could improve the academy's overall performance. This resit session represents an additional opportunity for nearly a third of the candidates present, who will attempt to obtain their diploma in the coming days.
It should be noted that these statistics are provisional and could change with the full publication of the results from all the juries.
With more than 11,000 candidates mobilized, the Ziguinchor academy confirms its weight in the national educational landscape.
However, the low success rate in the first round highlights the persistent challenges related to the preparation and support of students, particularly in general education streams.
The coming days will be crucial in measuring the impact of the resit exams and drawing up a final assessment of this 2026 session.
