Abass Fall : « Le Projet, c'est Sonko ! »
The debate surrounding the personification of the "Project" continues to elicit reactions from early party officials. This Sunday, it was Abass Fall, a member of parliament and influential figure in the ruling party, who weighed in. For him, the symbiosis between the PASTEF leader and the vision for the country's transformation is inseparable, unequivocally asserting the Prime Minister's complete embodiment of this political dynamic.
Abass Fall rejects semantic nuances surrounding the notion of personification. According to him, the reality on the ground and his activist background make one thing clear: " This man embodies the project: if that's what personification is, then the project is called Ousmane Sonko." With ten years of involvement in the political party, the head of the Dakar coordination reminds us that he is among those who hold the party's memory and that he also knows " a great deal " about the inner workings and evolution of this struggle.
The MP poses a fundamental question that resonates as a call to conscience for all activists and leaders. He challenges the grassroots regarding the months of crisis preceding the change of power, asking what concrete actions were taken during the eleven months of the PASTEF leader's imprisonment. "The only question that needs to be asked is this: when he was in prison for 11 months, what did we, those outside, do to ensure he became president? " he insists. With this question, he underscores that the party's rise to power remains intrinsically linked to the figure and sacrifices of its leader.
