Crise au sein du PS : Alioune Ndoye appelle à une refondation
The mayor of Dakar-Plateau and director of the Socialist Party (PS) school, Alioune Ndoye, expressed his concerns about the current crisis within the Socialist Party. According to him, their political party is "gradually fading from the political scene" due to problems with leadership, organization, and trust. "The Socialist Party has a real problem with its very existence on the Senegalese political scene. It must revise its platform for the Senegalese people and speak to all segments of the population," he declared this Sunday on RSI.
Looking back on the PS's partnership with the former regime within the Benno Bokk Yakaar (BBY) coalition, he believes that this orientation had been validated by the party, despite internal disagreements, stressing however that the main difficulty lies in the internal functioning and animation of the bodies, which he considers insufficient.
Alioune Ndoye rejected the idea of an irreversible decline, advocating instead for a refounding of the party, with a generational transition. He also called for changes to restore the Socialist Party's place on the national political scene.
