Déclaration de patrimoine : des ministres épinglés, ce qu’ils risquent de subir
During an appearance on the program "Point de vue" (RTS), Moustapha Kâ, president of the National Office for the Fight Against Fraud and Corruption (OFNAC), revealed, as reported by L'Observateur, that some members of the government have not yet filed their asset declarations. These individuals are among 558 holdouts out of 1,594 required to do so.
Moustapha Kâ reports that while OFNAC is currently favoring a "diplomatic and educational" approach, it will not hesitate to impose sanctions on those who continue to refuse to comply with the law. Among the penalties, L'Observateur lists, is the withholding of a quarter of the individual's monthly salary. They also face prison sentences ranging from six months to four years and a fine equal to one-third of their assets. Furthermore, "on the administrative level, those who fail to comply also risk being barred from holding public office," adds the newspaper of the Future Media Group.
