"La gouvernance d’un État ne se délègue point" : Babacar Lo Ndiaye interpelle le président Bassirou Diomaye Faye
In an open letter released this weekend, Babacar Lo Ndiaye, president of the Fass-Jom party, issued a solemn appeal to President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. He called on the head of state to "firmly retake the reins of power and fully embody presidential authority."
"Senegal needs a president who governs, who takes responsibility and who leads with authority and clarity," he wrote from the outset; before adding: "The governance of a State cannot be delegated."
According to Babacar Lo Ndiaye, elected on March 24, 2024 on the promise of political and moral renewal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye embodies a strong legitimacy, built on rupture and justice.
However, he notes, "many Senegalese are concerned about a muted presidency, uncertain leadership, and fragmented power." He believes that the slow pace of decision-making, delayed reforms, and confusion in the government's communication are fueling doubt and bitterness among the population. "Major decisions are delayed, announced reforms are struggling to materialize, and the government's communication is sowing more confusion than confidence," he laments.
For him, a head of state can consult and delegate, but must never abdicate his essential mission: to govern. "Governing is not just delegating signatures or making speeches. Governing is deciding, arbitrating, and taking responsibility, even when it is inconvenient," insists Babacar Lo Ndiaye.
He calls on the president to regain control of government action, to set a clear line and to impose coherence in the state. "The authority of the state must be unified, visible, firm and asserted. Delegating governance weakens the presidential institution. And when the presidency weakens, the entire state falters," he warns.
Babacar Lo Ndiaye advocates for a return to efficiency and clarity in public management: "The Senegalese are not expecting ceremonies or promises, but work, reforms and visible results: an economy that creates jobs, an efficient administration, equitable justice and projects that are carried out."
In his letter, he warns against parallel influences and uncertain alliances that, he believes, risk clouding the direction of the state. "A state cannot be governed from a distance or under the influence of opinion circles," he warns.
Finally, he calls for presidential courage. "History does not remember prudent presidents, but those who had the courage to carry out their mission to the end," he writes.
Before concluding with a meaningful sentence: "The governance of a State cannot be delegated, it is embodied. The Senegalese people, patient but lucid, will know how to judge those who acted as well as those who let it happen."

Sonko a compris qu'il ne sera pas éligible aux prochaines élections et veut que Diomaye transgresse la loi pour imposer son éligibilité. Sonko veut jouer à la victimisation comme à son habitude pour mettre Diomaye en mal avec les moutons 🐑🐑🐏. Le tera forail du 8 Novembre sera une tribune pour discréditer Diomaye.
Il voulait Sonko comme Président et Dieu a décrété autrement.
Maintenant si le client veut l'empêcher de gouverner tranquillement il n'a qu'à le coffrer à Kedougou.
Le Gouvernement comprend le Premier Ministre, chef du Gouvernement, et les Ministres.
