Limogeage de Sonko : Les responsables de Pastef réagissent
Since the announcement of Ousmane Sonko's dismissal, Pastef officials have begun to react. "Standing true to our principles and still unconditionally loyal to President Ousmane Sonko. Alhamdulillah, we will all sleep soundly," posted Assane Mbengue, Director General of Dakar Dem Dikk, on his Facebook page. MP Guy Marius Sagna, a close ally of the Pastef leader, was less forthcoming: "The struggle continues," he simply stated.
Bassirou Kébé, who had been dismissed from the head of the Sn Hlm, Ismaila Diallo, vice-president of the National Assembly, and Abass Fall, the mayor of Dakar, all sang messages of support for the president of Pastef.
MP Awa Sy, for her part, felt compelled to warn the Head of State: "Dismissing Ousmane Sonko does not mean silencing the popular will conveyed by the National Assembly. If you think you have all the powers, then prepare your decree to dissolve the Assembly as well, because this Assembly remains committed to the project defended by Sonko and supported by a large majority of the people," she asserted.
Waly Diouf Bodiang, one of the first Pastef officials and a member of Sonko's inner circle, to react, said: "I am with Ousmane Sonko, and as I told you, everything comes to an end," he declared.
For him, a new period has just begun. "With dignity, we will go with Ousmane Sonko to the palace in 2029," says the current Director General of the Autonomous Port of Dakar (Pad).
