Macky Sall devant la Haute Cour de justice : l'annonce d'El Malick Ndiaye
The President of the National Assembly raised the possibility of bringing former head of state Macky Sall before the High Court of Justice. However, he clarified that the proceedings are ongoing.
"We have decided to wait until the new internal regulations are finalized, coinciding with the opening of the next ordinary session," El Malick Ndiaye said in an interview with Seneweb TV, revealing that there are other initiatives in this direction. "I have already informed the Bureau of the National Assembly, which will assess the various initiatives," he added.
Last April, the Pastef MP called for the prosecution of Bassirou Diomaye Faye's predecessor for "high treason," accusing him of poor management of public finances and "manipulation of figures."
This comes just weeks after the publication of the Court of Auditors' report, which revealed the country's enormous debt, much higher than announced by the previous administration.

Ce n’est qu’un vulgaire effet d’annonce, du vent habillé en promesse. Ils ne feront strictement rien. Macky, avec ses tours cachés dans ses poches, les tient en laisse, et ces 4000 cancres le savent pertinemment. Qu’ils cessent leurs gesticulations et se confrontent enfin à leur propre bilan, s’ils en ont le courage, au lieu de s’enliser dans la comparaison avec leur prédécesseur.
