Me Bamba Cissé, Ministre de l’Intérieur : « La sécurité, la salubrité, et la tranquillité publique au cœur de nos actions »
The new Minister of the Interior and Public Security, Mouhamadou Bamba Cissé, officially took office and delivered his first words, marked by gratitude and commitment.
In his statement, he expressed his gratitude to the highest authorities of the State:
"I thank the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, as well as the Prime Minister, Mr. Ousmane Sonko, for the confidence they have placed in me by appointing me Minister of the Interior and Public Security of Senegal."
The new minister also paid tribute to his predecessor, General Jean Baptiste Tine, for "the remarkable work accomplished at the head of this department."
Expressing his determination to address the challenges of internal security, Mr. Cissé assured that he would focus on security, health, and public tranquility, which would be "at the heart" of his actions. He also called for collaboration and unity:
"I extend my hand to all my colleagues, at all levels of management and execution, so that together we can meet the challenges that lie ahead."
The new minister concluded by reaffirming his total availability to serve citizens, in a spirit of fairness and sovereignty:
"We will serve all our fellow citizens, without distinction, for a sovereign, just and prosperous Senegal. May God bless Senegal."
With this appointment, Me Mouhamadou Bamba Cissé is committed to writing a new page in public security in Senegal, in a context marked by major security and social issues.
