Rumeurs d'exclusions : Un responsable de PASTEF brise le silence et cite l'exemple de Diomaye Faye
What was intended to be an internal communication within the local branches of PASTEF-Les Patriotes in Bambey has escalated into a heated political controversy. Following the announcement of his resignation, Serigne Badiane, coordinator of the JPS (Jeunesse Patriote du Sénégal) in Bambey, has broken his silence.

In a scathing statement, the leader of the local youth patriots denounced a malicious political maneuver aimed at harming the Minister of Microfinance, Alioune Dione. He firmly reiterated the party's operating rules in response to rumors of expulsion and offered strong support for the minister's loyalty to the political project championed by Ousmane Sonko.
The origin of the controversy lies in a message shared in a militant discussion forum, initially intended to inform the local base. "I have noticed that my statement of resignation from Minister Alioune Dione's office, made in a Pastef Bambey panel to inform my fellow coordinators of a personal decision, has been used for political purposes to harm Minister Alioune Dione, a staunch and highly deserving patriot, at the highest level," laments Serigne Badiane.
The coordinator of the Bambey branch of the JPS party minces no words in denouncing what he calls an internal maneuver, directly targeting officials within his section: “I deplore this cowardice orchestrated by Mamadou Lamine Sambe, the vice-coordinator of Pastef in the Bambey commune, a corrupt pawn of the DER delegate who is trying by all means to seize control of the party or at least to control local Pastef officials. My resignation from the Minister's office must not be used for settling scores.” Faced with this situation, he urges party members to exercise restraint and clear thinking: “In this situation, let us remain calm and not rush into settling scores that have no basis other than personal problems and disguised hatred.”
Beyond local disputes, the statement addresses the party's overall situation and firmly refutes rumors of expulsion targeting certain officials. "I reiterate that the party has not issued any decision to exclude any minister. The party's internal regulations are clear on the sanctions to be imposed in the event of misconduct by a member," he specifies to put an end to the speculation. Taking an example from the highest level of government, he adds that "Even President Diomaye Faye, despite what some believe to be his responsibility in the current situation, has not been effectively excluded from the party or its WhatsApp groups," lamenting that in this context, "harmful politicians" are taking advantage of the situation to "settle scores and slander honest patriots."
Reaffirming his fraternity and faith in the trajectory of the Minister of Microfinance, Social and Solidarity Economy, Serigne Badiane emphasized Alioune Dione's commitment: "Minister Alioune Dione is still my party brother; we have fought all the battles together, and I have never doubted his loyalty to Ousmane Sonko and the party. As proof, his office had almost ten young members of the Bambey departmental JPS (Youth and Popular Solidarity Movement)." According to him, the minister's actions have always focused on the cohesion of the executive branch, recalling that "his main struggle since coming to power has been to maintain the unity between President Diomaye and Ousmane Sonko." Convinced that Alioune Dione will remain "a shield for the duo and a Baye Fall (a member of the Baye Fall community) for the project," he concluded by recalling the democratic DNA of their party: "Now, political differences remain what they are. We are a democratic and very open party; everyone is free to make their own choices."
