Tension au sommet de l'État : L'appel du président de la Fédération des associations religieuses et des communautés en Casamance au duo Diomaye-Sonko
A crisis at the highest level of government, between the President of the Republic and his Prime Minister, is neither desirable nor conceivable for Senegal. This is the straightforward analysis of the President of the Federation of Religious Associations and Communities in Casamance. Chérif Cheikh Boun Chamsidine Aïdara urges the Head of State and his Prime Minister to stand together for the good of the Senegalese people.
He was speaking at the 35th anniversary of the passing of Chérif Chamsidine Ould Cheikh Mafouze Aïdara, the 4th khalifa of Cheikna Cheikh Mafouze.
According to Chérif Chamsidine Ould Cheikh Mafouze Aïdara, "the Senegalese are worried and don't know what's going on. We don't want to know where the problem is. We just want peace, for us to return to our values. When we think of figures like Chérif Chamsidine Aïdara, Cheikh Mahfouz, Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba, El Hadj Malik Sy, we must stand together, have a spirit of transcendence, join hands and save Senegal."
Regarding the upcoming tour of the President of the Republic in Casamance, the President of the Federation of Religious Associations and Communities in Casamance believes that it is a very good opportunity to plead the cause of the people and religious communities.
"Casamance has many projects, many grievances. We hope that the visit of the Head of State will help to support the people of Casamance and religious communities. He said last year, when he came to see the Imam Ratib of Bignona, Imam Fansou Bodian, that the National Program for the Modernization of Religious Communities is a very good program. But unfortunately, it has not yet arrived in Casamance, and he will do everything to ensure that the religious communities of Casamance are included," he prayed.
The religious leader hasn't forgotten the Émile Badiane bridge, whose dilapidated state poses a danger to users. "We believe that (Diomaye) will also take this situation seriously."
It is worth recalling that Chérif Chamsidine is considered the precursor of the French school at the level of the villages housing religious centers in Casamance, at the time when Émile Badiane was minister, which strengthened the bonds of friendship between the two personalities.
