Drogue à Ouakam : Un étudiant centrafricain et un agent immobilier parmi les 4 dealers arrêtés par la BRS de Dakar
Police officers from the Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS), under the Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS), made a significant impact. On Friday, January 23, 2026, around 7:00 PM, they dismantled a drug trafficking network in the Cité Avion neighborhood of Ouakam, arresting four individuals, including one from the Central African Republic. Four packets of marijuana were seized at the scene.
These are real estate agent M. Dioum, born in 1997, Central African student BYM Martin, born in 2003 in Bangui (Central African Republic), bricklayer AK Mangranene, born in 1987, and electrician Ba. Ndao, born in 2005 in Ouakam. They all reside in this neighborhood of the capital, according to Seneweb sources.
These arrests follow a series of complaints from residents of the Cité Avion housing project, who were fed up with the activities of these young drug dealers. The investigations carried out by the BRS (Brigade de Répression du Sécurité - Anti-Drug Squad) identified the main players in this trafficking operation, who had transformed the area into a veritable drug market and smoking den, particularly for cannabis.
The police raid led to the arrest of four suspects and the discovery of four packets of marijuana at the scene. The suspects were taken into custody after being informed of their rights. Five (5) mobile phones and 20,500 FCFA found in their possession were temporarily impounded at the station for sealing.
