Mbacké : 2 Cambrioleurs arrêtés par la police après avoir dévalisé une boutique en pleine nuit

The Mbacké urban police station, under the command of Commissioner Alioune Fall, put an end to the actions of two criminals being prosecuted for burglarizing a shop in the Santhie Darou Salam market.

The bricklayer AF, aged 20, and the motorcycle driver C. Samb, aged 23, were arrested and brought before the prosecutor.

It all started on the night of Monday, December 1, 2025, around 2 a.m.

Shopkeeper M. Ka, a trader at the Santhie Darou Salam market, had his business burglarized by criminals who took a television, two mobile phones and a quantity of merchandise, according to Seneweb sources.

The following morning, around 6 a.m., the complainant was informed of the burglary. He immediately went to the scene where he discovered the door of his shop had been forced open and his merchandise scattered inside the store.

While the shopkeeper was trying to tidy up his store, one of the market guards came to him with crucial testimony. He stated that he had seen three young men, including one named A. Fall, armed with machetes, in front of the store around 2 a.m.

The security guard explained that he had gone to fetch his colleagues to confront the suspects. However, before he returned to the scene, the criminals took the opportunity to break down the shop door and escape with their loot.

Based on this testimony, Mr. M. Ka went to the police station to file his complaint.

Following the complainant's statement, officers from the Mbacké urban police station's investigation unit launched their inquiry. Around 8 p.m. that same day, they were informed of the presence of A. Fall at the Darou Salam Extension market.

The suspect had imprudently returned to the scene to inquire about the situation with the market's security guards. Police officers immediately went to the location, arrested him, and took him to headquarters.

Briefly questioned at the police station, A. Fall admitted to being at the Darou Salam Extension market on the night of December 1, 2025, around 2:00 AM. He stated that he had come with his friend C. Samb to buy cigarettes, but categorically denied the charges against him.

Continuing their investigations, the members of the research brigade managed to locate and immediately apprehend C. Samb. He was arrested in broad daylight, in possession of 79 packets of Indian hemp which he had concealed in the trunk of his motorcycle.

It should be noted that A. Fall is already known to the police for similar offenses.

At the conclusion of the investigation, the accused duo were brought before the High Court of Diourbel on Wednesday. A. F. and C. Samb are being prosecuted for criminal conspiracy, burglary committed at night, possession of bladed weapons, and, in the case of C. Samb, offering or transferring cannabis.
