Élimination de l’Égypte : Mohamed Salah brise le silence et s’adresse aux supporters
Following Egypt's elimination against Argentina (3-2) in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup, Mohamed Salah broke his silence. The Pharaohs' captain addressed a message to the fans, aware of their disappointment after a match marred by several refereeing decisions contested by the Egyptian side.
In a message posted on X, the striker who made Liverpool's glory days acknowledged the fans' anger while inviting them to keep hope for the future of Egyptian football.
“I know you are still angry, but I promise you that I will do everything in my power to make this a new beginning for Egyptian football on the international stage. Qualifying for the World Cup will not be enough, nor will participating in it. This team deserves your trust,” wrote Mohamed Salah.
With this statement, the top scorer in the history of the Egyptian national team shows his desire to turn the page on this elimination and to build a team capable of competing sustainably with the best nations in the world.
